Making Boss Moves: Arianna Huffington
Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post, announced her departure from her position of 11 years. After building a brand to international recognition, and being named one of the “Most Powerful Women in the World “by Forbes in 2014, Arianna has made the ultimate Boss Move to transition her career towards her current passion- Health and Wellness.
A few things I’ve learned from such a move are:
- Follow your heart- Arianna did not allow her new dreams to live in the shadows of her current success. Although she was contracted to stay with the Huffington Post until 2019, Arianna realized launching the new business needed her full attention. She honored the dreams in her heart= Boss Move.
- It’s never too late- at the age of 66, Arianna has decided to “start from scratch” in building her new brand- Thrive Global. While most people decide to stick it out after 10 years invested into a career, she has proven it is never to late to be the person you’ve always wanted to be.
- Take your time and build the life of your dreams- Arianna has made a major transition after a spending over 30 years building her life, step by step ,rising to be named one of the most powerful women in the world. This next step is just as bold as her first, for it is built on the courage to see full manifestation of the desires of her heart. I honor this decision as an ultimate- Boss Move.
